I built a SparrowHawk II, an enclosed, centerline thrust, two-place, kit-built gyroplane. It is a dynamically and statically stable aircraft that provides a high degree of safety for the recreational pilot.
The large two-place cabin with a width of 44 inches, more than 4 inches wider than a Cessna 172, provides great visibility and comfort for the pilot and passenger.
I kept a log as I built my SparrowHawk II, with lots of photos and progress reports you can see here on the I Built a Gyro! page. New entries are on top, so start at the bottom to get the full story. You can
if you have any questions about building an aircraft, especially a gyroplane. I'll help you if I can.
When I returned to Maine after building my SparrowHawk II in Utah, I purchased a hangar at Knox County Regional Airport (KRKD) in Rockland, ME, a local airport a few miles from my house.
The picture at the right is me and my gyroplane in Belfast, ME, where I landed on a short cross-country.
